Incomplete or inaccurate details may result in restrictions when importing, clearing, or collecting shipments. Authorized pick-up individuals must present valid government-issued identification matching account records upon collection.
7. Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TRN)
Jordan Transport & Logistics is required by Jamaica Customs to collect the TRN of account holders to facilitate the clearance of imported goods. This information remains confidential and is shared exclusively with relevant customs and governmental authorities during official declarations or investigations.
Processing Note: The clearance of imported items will be severely delayed if accurate TRN details are missing from customs documentation.
Sensitive user data is never sold or traded. Jordan Transport & Logistics complies fully with law enforcement mandates and retains indemnification regarding customer violations.
8. Invoicing & Valuation
Customs authorities process imported packages using the commercial invoices provided. Please note that for invoices reflecting vendor discounts exceeding 25%, the excess discount amount may not be honoured for duty valuation purposes by border officials.
Example: If a product valued at $200 USD is purchased with a 30% discount (bringing the total to $140 USD), customs authorities may adjust the assessable valuation to cap the recognized discount at 25%, assessing taxes based on fair market value. Inbound handling and freight fees are structured accordingly.
9. Inbound Charges
Inbound charges consolidate various operational logistics costs to simplify the international shipping process. These include, but are not limited to:
- Airline fuel surcharges
- Overseas warehousing and storage fees
- Terminal and port handling fees
- Freight transit insurance
- Export/import processing documentation
10. Promotions and Giveaways
Jordan Transport & Logistics reserves the right to modify, amend, or terminate any promotional offers, discounts, or giveaways at any time without prior notice or liability.
Jordan Transport & Logistics is fully indemnified against user losses resulting from phishing scams, unauthorized links, brand impersonation, or fraudulent communications from unverified third parties. Always confirm legitimate promotions through official Jordan Transport & Logistics support tickets, verified phone lines, or official mobile apps.
11. Promotional Credits ("JTL Credits")
At the company's discretion, new or existing users may receive promotional shipping credits (e.g., "JTL Credits") applied directly to their account dashboard.
Terms: Promotional credits possess no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for currency.
Credits apply strictly toward eligible freight charges on designated shipments before their specified expiration date. Unused credits automatically forfeit upon expiration. Jordan Transport & Logistics reserves the right to revoke credits if account abuse or policy breaches occur.
12. Customer Ethics & Behaviour
Jordan Transport & Logistics enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for abusive behaviour. Customers who engage in verbal abuse, harassment, or physical violence toward staff — whether in person at branch locations or via phone, email, and live chat — will be asked to cease immediately and may be removed from the premises by security personnel or law enforcement.
By utilizing our facilities, users acknowledge that branch locations are monitored by CCTV security systems for safety and quality control purposes.
Threats against staff will be formally reported to law enforcement. Jordan Transport & Logistics reserves the right to permanently terminate accounts and deny service to offending individuals and their designated pick-up agents.
Property destruction will result in immediate legal action, with the offending party liable for all legal expenses and damages incurred.
13. User Data & Privacy Information
Jordan Transport & Logistics does not store full credit card data or payment credentials on its servers. Personal data is not shared with external third parties except as required by law enforcement or regulatory mandates. We may periodically use contact details internally to inform account holders of service updates or logistics offerings; users may opt out via the unsubscribe link in commercial emails.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML): In compliance with AML regulations, Jordan Transport & Logistics may request supplemental identity or source-of-funds verification before fulfilling logistics services or processing account transactions.
Payment Verification: Payments for logistics charges or deliveries must match the account holder's name. Third-party card payments require prior written authorization.
Media Rights: Photographs or security footage captured inside branch facilities remain company property. Consent for marketing use is assumed at the time of capture; customers may request media removal by contacting support with a specific reference link or screenshot.
14. Privacy Policy
For details on how user data is collected, stored, and processed, please refer to our full Privacy Policy on the official Jordan Transport & Logistics website.
15. Additional Terms
Jordan Transport & Logistics retains full operational discretion and is not obligated to disclose internal shipping partners, carrier contracts, line-haul agents, or trade associations.
Customs Inspection: All shipments are subject to physical or radiological inspection by foreign export control authorities and domestic customs agencies prior to departure or upon arrival.
Prohibited Use: Jordan Transport & Logistics addresses must never be used for illegal activities, including fraudulent purchases, credit card schemes, identity theft, financial scams, or circumventing trade regulations. The company cooperates fully with local and international law enforcement agencies conducting active investigations.
16. Restricted and Prohibited Items
Restricted items must not be shipped to our overseas warehouse without obtaining the necessary import permits prior to transit. Unpermitted shipments are subject to seizure, government fines, and immediate disposal by border control authorities.
Customers are responsible for reviewing updated import lists issued by relevant customs agencies (e.g., Jamaica Customs Agency). Prohibited items that cannot be lawfully imported will be confiscated or destroyed without compensation.
Commonly restricted / prohibited items:
- Checks, money orders, cash equivalents, and financial instruments
- Credit cards, debit cards, and active stored-value payment cards
- Explosives, firearms, ammunition, and weapon components
- Illicit substances, narcotics, and paraphernalia
- Goods derived from fraudulent activities or proceeds of crime
16.a. Incorrect Address / "Bad Address" Fees
Packages delivered to our overseas facilities with missing, illegible, or incorrect names and account numbers (e.g., missing JTL account codes) will incur an administrative processing fee. This charge covers the manual labour, storage, and backend verification required to trace and re-assign the package to the correct account holder. Users must ensure vendors format shipping labels strictly according to account guidelines.
17. Importation & Customs Clearance
Jordan Transport & Logistics acts as a freight forwarder providing clearance processing on behalf of its customers.
Personal Shipments: Goods imported for personal consumption must be distinguished from commercial inventory. Items requiring special clearance permits from government bodies (e.g., Ministry of Health, Agriculture, Spectrum Management) must be cleared with documentation supplied by the importer prior to arrival. Jordan Transport & Logistics accepts no liability for goods detained or destroyed due to missing permits.
Commercial Shipments: Shipments imported in bulk or quantities deemed commercial by customs officers will be reassessed under commercial duty tariffs, requiring additional processing time and official documentation.
18. Shipment Policies
18.a. Delayed Shipments
Jordan Transport & Logistics strives to maintain clear timelines but is not liable for transit delays caused by third-party commercial airlines, maritime carriers, severe weather, port congestion, or customs inspections. Delay notices will be communicated via email or push notifications.
18.b. Detained Goods
Shipments may be formally detained by customs authorities due to missing invoices, incorrect consignee details, lack of import permits, or valuation disputes. The account holder is responsible for providing required documentation or settling applicable statutory fines.
18.c. Damaged Shipments
Packages may suffer damage during domestic transit to our overseas warehouse due to inadequate vendor packaging or carrier mishandling.
If damage is identified at our overseas facility, we will notify the customer and facilitate pickup or return strictly from that location. Jordan Transport & Logistics does not perform off-site postal returns.
Jordan Transport & Logistics is not liable for internal product damage when external packaging arrives intact from the supplier. Freight and inbound handling fees remain payable. Claims for defective or broken merchandise must be directed to the selling vendor.
Customers must inspect all packages in-store or upon delivery driver hand-off. Claims for missing contents or physical damage made after leaving company premises will be denied.
18.d. Incorrect Orders or Merchant Errors
Jordan Transport & Logistics is a logistics carrier and is not responsible for vendor fulfilment errors, wrong sizes, missing items, or incorrect quantities. All freight charges associated with transporting the package remain due, and disputes must be resolved directly with the seller.
18.e. Assisted Purchasing Services
When utilizing in-store or online assisted ordering services, Jordan Transport & Logistics will not purchase restricted items or goods requiring personal import licenses. Assisted purchases are subject to processing fees, current exchange rates, and service charges. We reserve the right to decline or cancel purchase requests at our discretion, returning funds to the user's account balance.
19. Local Branch Policies
19.a. Storage Fees
Free storage is provided for up to fourteen (14) calendar days following the initial "Available for Pickup" notification.
Starting on day 15, storage fees accrue at a rate of $100.00 JMD per package per day, up to a maximum of 30 assessable days.
Storage fees accrue on a per-package basis and cannot be waived. Uncollected items exceeding total storage limits will enter disposal procedures.
19.b. Authorized Pick-Up Agents
Account holders may designate authorized pickup individuals within their profile settings. Authorized agents must present valid government photo identification. All outstanding account balances must be settled prior to package release.
19.c. Package Receiving and Inspection
Signing for incoming packages at overseas warehouses confirms receipt of physical outer containers but does not guarantee product integrity. Jordan Transport & Logistics performs visual external inspections to determine air/ocean transit eligibility. The company is not liable for internal damages stemming from insufficient manufacturer packaging. Refused or non-compliant cargo will be stored for a maximum of 30 days prior to disposal.
20. Customs Declarations & Documentation
Jordan Transport & Logistics handles consolidated customs clearance under standard freight forwarding operating procedures. Internal manifest documents and master customs entries are proprietary and will not be released.
If an account holder elects to self-clear a shipment, Jordan Transport & Logistics will provide the specific bill of lading/air waybill upon full payment of all accrued freight, inbound, and documentation handling fees. The company assumes no responsibility for delays or errors occurring during self-clearance with government authorities.
21. Clearance Fees
Processing fees are structured based on accepted shipment valuations and handling requirements. Jordan Transport & Logistics reserves the right to adjust shipping rates and service charges as operational costs dictate. Rate revisions will be published via official communication channels prior to implementation.
22. Insurance & Claims
Cargo coverage is provided through our underwriting logistics partners to guard against loss or complete destruction while packages are under our direct custody and control.
22.a. Coverage Limits
Maximum Claim Value: Approved claims are capped at a maximum reimbursement limit of $2,500.00 USD per shipment.
Reimbursements are calculated based on the verified invoice value minus depreciation. Freight fees must be declared within the total value to be eligible for recovery.
22.b. Filing Timeframes & Requirements
Filing Window: Claims for physical damage or missing items must be submitted immediately at the point of pickup or delivery. Packages removed from the branch without inspection forfeit claim eligibility.
International Transit Loss: A shipment is classified as lost only after internal warehouse investigations confirm the item cannot be located within the logistics network.
Documentation Required: Claims require a completed online claim form, official purchase invoices, proof of payment, and retention of original shipping packaging. Claims undergo a 5–7 business day review period.
Insurance does not cover confiscation by customs authorities, illegal items, perishable goods, vendor fulfilment errors, pre-existing manufacturing defects, or losses resulting from fraudulent schemes.
22.c. Insurance Fraud Policy
Submitting falsified invoices, altered receipts, or inflated valuations constitutes fraud and will result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of claims, and reporting to legal authorities for prosecution.
23. Abandoned Package Disposal Policy
Packages remaining uncollected in our local facilities for more than ninety (90) calendar days from arrival are deemed abandoned. Jordan Transport & Logistics reserves the right to dispose of, liquidate, auction, or destroy abandoned cargo to recover storage and handling costs. Importers forfeit all rights to abandoned items after this period.
24. Final Delivery Services
Jordan Transport & Logistics offers local doorstep delivery options subject to driver availability and safety conditions.
Delivery operations may be suspended during severe weather events, natural disasters, floods, civil unrest, or hazardous conditions.
Acceptance: Recipients must inspect packages upon driver hand-off. Obvious defects or package issues must be reported to customer service within 24 hours of delivery confirmation.
Third-Party Couriers: If a package is handed off to a third-party courier at the customer's request, Jordan Transport & Logistics' liability terminates upon presentation of the hand-off receipt or courier tracking confirmation.
25. Payment Methods & Account Rules
Jordan Transport & Logistics provides flexible payment options to cover freight, inbound charges, clearance, and delivery fees. Account balances and invoices may be settled strictly via cash or direct transfer to the company's bank account.
Bank Transfers: Payments made via bank transfer require official proof of transaction and verification. Please allow approximately 1 to 3 business days for bank transfers to clear and reflect on your account ledger. To avoid delivery or pickup delays, transfers should be initiated well in advance.
Cash Payments: Cash payments are accepted in person at designated branch locations upon package collection or in-store processing.
Over-the-Counter Verification: In-person pickups and cash settlements require identity verification matching the account profile (e.g., full name, government-issued photo ID, registered phone number, or authorized pick-up agent details on file).
Third-Party Payments: Payments made from bank accounts not matching the registered primary account holder's name require prior written approval from Jordan Transport & Logistics to ensure proper transaction matching and safeguard against fraudulent activity.
26. Refunds & Cancellations
In-Store / Assisted Orders: If an assisted order is cancelled by the merchant, refunded funds will be credited back to the customer's E-Wallet or remitted via bank transfer. Cash refunds are not issued at branch locations.
Shipment Refunds: Refunds or billing adjustments will not be issued for packages lacking proper pre-alerts, missing invoices, or unverified values prior to custom clearance.
Refunds will not be granted for merchant packing errors, short shipments by suppliers, or items removed from branches without initial inspection.
Accounts closing with remaining credit balances loaded via credit card may request a refund minus applicable bank processing fees.
27. Jordan Transport & Logistics Referral Program
The Jordan Transport & Logistics Referral Program allows active account holders ("Referrers") to earn promotional shipping credits by inviting new users ("Referred Users").
Eligibility: Open to registered account holders in good standing.
Earning Conditions: Credits are awarded after the Referred User signs up using a valid referral code, verifies their profile, and completes/collects their first paid shipment.
Credit Restrictions: Referral credits carry no cash value, are non-transferable, apply exclusively to eligible shipping fees, and expire after a set promotional period.
Prohibited Conduct: Creating duplicate accounts, distributing links via spam, or engaging in fraudulent sign-ups is strictly prohibited and will result in credit forfeiture and account suspension.
Program Changes: Jordan Transport & Logistics reserves the right to modify or terminate the referral framework at any time without prior notice.
